Questions before launch.
Star Labs is still in active development, so this FAQ is intentionally clear about what is ready, what is planned, and what is not open yet.
When can I subscribe?
Not yet. Public checkout is intentionally closed while Stripe, commercial enforcement, deeper human usability testing, and product polish are unfinished. A launch date has not been announced.
What ages is Star Labs for?
The current platform foundation targets Pre-K through Grade 6 with age-responsive presentation and learning length.
Is Star Labs only for homeschoolers?
Homeschool families are the first target audience, but the platform is being designed to support public school, private school, and supplemental learning too.
Does Star Labs use AI?
Current adaptive and recommendation behavior is being built from deterministic curriculum rules, learning evidence, and platform logic. The core experience does not depend on an external generative AI service.
Which interface languages will be supported?
The public coming-soon site is available in English, Spanish, and French. The product localization foundation uses the same three languages, but existing apps and lessons still require staged translation and human review before we call the product fully localized.
Is Language Learning the same as translating the interface?
No. Interface localization and Language Learning are separate. A family could use Star Labs in Spanish while a learner studies French, English, or another language course.
Which languages will children be able to learn?
Language Learning is now part of the product direction, but the first course languages have not been finalized publicly. We will announce them after curriculum depth and quality are ready.
How much will it cost?
The current launch plan is $10/month for the first learner and $2/month for each additional learner. Checkout is not open, and final terms can still change before launch.
Will parents have to approve work every day?
No. The default Guided Day direction is hands-off within parent-approved goals and guardrails, with parent involvement focused on meaningful exceptions and periodic review.
Does every skill have to be mastered in one day?
No. Star Labs is designed for gradual learning: teach, practice, revisit, spiral, try another angle, and build mastery over time.
